I love it! Have had a tough week and that really brightens Friday afternoon - thank you!

It's pretty, but I wish it were more complete. They left off satyrs, chimaeras, hecatonchieres, kelpies, sphinxes....

I'm off to google a mermahuataur. Part human, part bull, part narwhal? heckyes.

Ed Anon--maybe some of your design-y minions could help us correct that...

At last — the living room wallpaper dilemma is solved!

Nice! Now I have more ammo for my cross-bred imaginings. Happy Friday.

Lot of effort just for a mermahuataur joke :P

I love the mermahuataur and the dog x3! Brilliant!

But now I'm trying to figure out of there's any way to get the chimera in there... too nebulous a concept, I guess, it would have to send venn diagram tentacles into all the cross-over areas...

Very fun, indeed. Although there is an error: the Lion/Human would be the Sphinx, not the Manticore, which is Lion/Human/Scorpion (or Dragon). We need another bubble for arachnids!

Gotta love a Venn Diagram. And one with mythical creatures just makes it that much more magical.

Where has a mermahuataur ever appeared??? and where would a moonrat fit?

Fantasy creature fail. :(

I've never heard of half of those, and honestly thought some of them were diseases.

Pretty colors, though. :)

Darn! Every excuse I ever had for a Professor about the obvious fact that Venn Diagrams had nothing to do with fun, have now been burnt to the ground. Got a needed laugh after a rough morning.

I love that!

Moonrat, you might also enjoy Maggie Stiefvater's newest You Tube video about how Kraken are the new vampire. It's awesome.

Ha ha, brilliant!

One small quibble. Human/Snake = echidna? The small, harmless, spiny waddling monotreme that lives in burrows in the Australian bush?
The one that isn't mythical?

Larissa said...

millionwords - That's the animal echidna. The mythological echidna is a half-snake.

Ah, I see where the confusion is. In Australia we have the other sort of echidnas too but we call them politicians.
