rehab

Ok, I haven't checked my Google Reader since MONDAY. Who's proud of me?

Of course, I'm blogging about it. But this is different. This is more of a... forum with friends than a mind-zap.

Phew. Brain detox... Although my fingers are itching to click that "Reader" tab...

You're missing a lot of good stuff...

Oh wait, that's not helpful. Good for you!!

I can understand the dilemma; I resolved mine by creating a new Friday agenda:
* Get to office early.
* Look busy.
* Read the internets.

Rehab is for quitters.

Wow. You're a better woman than I. (I use the same morning work agenda as Ben-M.)

Friday Schedule? Uh oh. That's my everyday schedule... is there room in rehab?

But will you mark all as read when you finally give in and open your reader? That's the real test.

Lucky you to miss out on the week when Lou Ferrigno has been spamming the universe about his newfound love of artistic calibrese arranging...

I got you beat--yesterday when I got onto my reader I still had posts in there from May 31st (the last time I really bloghopped). It's manageable right now, but still is making me anxious. AHHHHH. Good luck to you.

Jane--um, no.

In fact, I am COUNTING DOWN the two hours until it's officially Friday, when I told myself I would let myself read. (Originally I had meant AFTER work was over on Friday... now I just mean midnight...)

Moonrat: waiting until midnight until its Friday? You are so technical! I'm still proud of you. *robot hug*

I've been in the tech arena since I was in high school (call it 30 years). In that time, I have learned one truth that doesn't change no matter what new gadgets and features appear:

The most important button on any high-tech device is the off button. Use it frequently.

I don't know. I'm jealous of another blogger breaking free. Why not just chip a little? Yeah, just one hit!

For me it's about productive blogging time, not productive work time. However now I have to chisel out some writing time in there someplace.

Hey Moonie,

I wanted to stop by and say hi. I'm finally rising out of the terrible abyss I was thrown into 15 months ago by a lovely, toxic injection from my othro. The last 5 weeks I've felt more like "me" than ever.

I had to come check on you. Sounds like you're busier than ever. I will attend the Jackson Hole Writer's Conf next week. I'm thrilled to go and mingle and learn...

Blessings to you!!!

Jennifer! It's so nice to hear from you. Good for you--let us know how the conference goes!

Well done Moonie. Step away from the Reader button ...

Are you doing a chilly sort of turkey on us? You're a strong and brave woman! ;-)

No!! I'm planning a post. It will be a good one. I just have to find time to write it. Maybe tonight.

I beat you. I stopped reading in March and I'm just getting caught up now. At first I was surprised I only had 700 or so unread items . . . until I discovered that for some reason Google had only saved those from the last month or so.

Anyway, it's nice to have time to read your blog again! :)
