Ask your assistant if she'd ever consider working for a writer instead of an editor. Much easier hours, much less pressure, the pay's probably about the same order of magnitude, and of course there's the glamor factor. Why, she herself could even turn to writing some day---

...Oh, wait. You've said you yourself write as well as edit, haven't you? Curses!
