venn diagram for weekend with family at Madison Square Garden

The intersection of "Deadheads" and "geeky dad" turns out to be "Israeli folk dancing."

Sooooo were you going to post the diagram or do we need to picture it in our heads??

Do we get to see the blackmail photos?? :)

Wait...we are talking about your dad right?

haha YES. my geeky dad.

alas, when he was here this weekend doing computer tune-up for me (geek benefit #487) he failed to install paint shop pro, so i can't actually MAKE a VISUAL venn diagram for you. but i feel like the equation nearly speaks for itself.

LOL

Yep, speaks for itself.

i hate it when you have to tell people that something should 'speak for itself'. It always makes me wonder..is it just me that thinks it can speak for itself?

It did speak for itself. I'm just lazy. That and no one was commenting so I wasn't sure I was really getting it. lol.

So your dad's on the geek squad huh?

lol..Yes, yes, I'm a dork. I could probably hang with your dad.

yes, geek squad, and from forth those fatal loins did i issue. may this put maybe things in perspective: the epic fantasy habit, the passion for obscure linguistics trivia, the fact that i was on the engineering team in high school, the "population game" (you know, when you sit around the dining room table and guess how many people live in a particular country, and then you shout and argue about it and eventually get up and check the encyclopedia britanica).

OMG - you would not want to see pics of my family dancing - too many types combined into a . . . mess. But I would love to see yours ;)

Oooh! Israeli folk dancing! I LOVE it! When I was in high school in Welkom (the South African equivalent of a one horse town) we had folk dancers stay with us. And I don't know what that has to do with your Dad and his legacy of your geekiness (which we love!), but there you have it!

What fortunate hoops.

I fit right in the middle of the Deadhead / geeky dad intersection. I try not to dance out of respect for the safety of those around me, but now I know what to expect should I ever try.

WORD VERIFICATION: vingeroy. An Israeli folk dance spelled backwards, Oy Regniv?

BUWHAHAHAHAHAHA. Moonie - thanks for the laugh this morning. I really needed it.

"Population game" -buwahahahahaha.

I guess my high school had a different flip on that game. Think - teen-pregnancy.

*sigh*...Okay if I must come clean: I was a member of our school's "knowlege bowl" team. Ever seen Day After Tomorrow? Yes. We even went to Nationals. sigh. I'm ashamed. I'm both a dork AND geek.

But I'm still a ninja!

A dorky geek-ninja! But I have mad skills.
