Finished reading WETLANDS, by Charlotte Roche. My review here. Anyone else read it? Any thoughts?

Oh wow, I didn't realize it was released in the US already... Great to hear!

Tim Mohr is the man... That's all I have to say. I'm glad he translated this book into English, seeing how a tepid and rather boring American publishing industry isn't usually willing to push the envelope with these types of eye-brow raising novels...

I had a similar reaction to this book as you did. In some ways, I think what Roche is doing is valuable--that is, pushing the boundaries of what is typically thought of as feminine in terms of sex and hygiene. But I was also disappointed that there wasn't more story to it. I was surprised at how little I knew about Helen by the end of the book, aside from her sexual proclivities. Seems much more a book based on an idea rather than a real character.
