nice day

Today, when I was sitting up to my ears in 6 feet of manuscripts, Robert the Publisher walked by my office and introduced me to a guest of his as his "star editor." Yay.

Sometimes that's all it takes to make your day. Congrats.

Of course all us little "ass"ets have known all along that you're a star and rising. . .

Very cool, Moonie!

Yikes. "Star" can translate to "More" of whatever earned you the star. Hope that's not the case. But it's cool they have so much confidence in you.

Better than Robert walking by and saying to his guest, "And this is what's-her-name. Remind me to ask someone why she's still on."

That's an awfully shiny feather in your cap! Congrats.

Oof! Sounds like life's been hectic. I agree with Stephen. If you have to be that busy, at least you're appreciated.

: )

If not a tattoo, at the very least that should be put on your nameplate. And your business cards.

And if I were you, I'd work it into personal introductions, too.

I am not a poet, so must rely on William...

Then to Moonrat let us sing,
That Moonrat is excelling;
She excels each mortal thing,
Upon the dull earth dwelling:
To her let us garlands bring!

Although I only know you as a blogger, I'm not surprised to hear you're a star editor.

I don't think I've ever been called a "star" anything. I was employee of the month at a fast food restaurant once because they'd gone through all the other employees and I begged.

Was there ever any question to such?

Oh, warm fuzzies to you!

now Sherri, as we all learned from Cher in CLUELESS, begging is an art form and the rewards and prizes derived from begging are at least as applaudable as those we came by through more direct or traditional channels!

Sherri said...

I had forgotten the wise words of Cher. From this day I shall go forth and beg with my head held high.
