That's a bit of a mouthful, so as it's snowing where I am, I've shortened it to 'hat'.

My husband says the German's must have taken "Gezunt heit" from the Yiddish.

Yiddish is a Middle German dialect, so anyone who speaks German will find it easy to understand.
