Meet my new Olympic boyfriend, Sasha Artemev, the cherub-cheeked "dazzling" but "erratic" cleaner-upper for the Men's Gymnastics team.

To give you an idea of why Sasha just blows my mind:
Watch this talented Japanese gymnast on the pommel horse.
Now watch Sasha on the pommel horse. JUST WATCH THIS VIDEO!!!! It will change your life.
No one compares to Sasha. It's madness.

Sorry - there's no forgetting MP - there hasn't been anyone like him since Spitz and that was a loooong time ago.
The kid's got some speed on that thing, but his strength pales in comparison to me.
well, obviously, paca.
For me, it's merely a question of what I feel like for dinner: Swimmer or gymnast? All delish, lol.
It's useful to get these updates on the big new stars of these Games, because on Chinese TV there's just about zero coverage of anything that doesn't result in medals for China.
I know most national TV stations are similarly egocentric about events like this, but China really takes it to a whole new level. I haven't seen a complete race from the swimming events or any men's gymnastics all week!
Wow, thanks for sharing this. I only get fuzzy cbs and abc, so no nbc to watch this amazing stuff. Thanks,
Go Sasha. I am forever changed.
that's just friggin' incredible! And what a cutie!!
Yeah, largely the same thing on the American side, froog. Yahoo's front page keeps a running top athletes thing, and apparently 92% of all top athletes at the games are American. Which is odd since the Chinese have more golds than anyone so far.
Finally got to watch the videos. There really is no comparison between the two gymnasts in the videos, is there?

sorry, im all about china in gymnastics.
Ah, I'm quite glad I'm not the only one who pretty much fell in love with Sasha Artemev after watching him on pommel horse. Cool shit, that. And pommel horse isn't generally a high-scoring event, even... It's very neat.
(The irony of it all is that 95% of the time? I'm a lesbian.)
