why does Amazon not have a humor category?

Just asking.

Although after all this time, to still bother questioning Amazon...

I didn't know Amazon had categories. Seriously.
I type in the book I want and click 'buy.' I'm still getting books from last month's extravaganza. My kids are embarrassed for me...

for information, amazon uk has humour as a top level category. interesting.

I think that the Amazon categories are based on a combination of the big US wholesalers' stocking categories and the Dewey Decimal system.

In most of the bookstores I frequent, the humor section comes between the cookbooks and the books about TV and movies.

They do have a humor section. It's full of books about politics.
