The Wire

Which we are down to.

Folks, tomorrow is our July 1st deadline. It's our last day to pull ourselves together.

I'm a little bit frantic over here. I got caught up in a work project this weekend and didn't take care of some major creative writing business I thought I would. HOWEVER. I am still going to kick my butt to make the deadline. I've decided that "July 1" means "before I go into work tomorrow" and not "midnight" (in case that helps anyone with a couple extra hours).

Is anyone still with me? I know a couple of you are, at least.

I'm going to fall short! My synopsis is done, and I've started writing, but I'll probably only be 21 pages into my book instead of the 50 I wanted. :(

Do I get pity since I changed projects halfway through the month? No? (poot)

And here I thought this was going to be a post on the second greatest TV show of the decade (the first being The Venture Brothers, naturally).

Good luck! You can do it!

I'm still with you Moonrat. I've given myself 1 more poem to write tonight... and then I'll be where I want to be with my project... at 16 total and finished with the picture book. (Hope I make it, since I have to go visit Granny at the hospital in another town tonight, then come back and finish it)

I was hoping you'd post another video...

Not that you have to. But if you wanted a reason to take a break....

Synopsis is pretty much done. Just need to edit it a bit.

Query, I stab at thee! I'm sure if it ever clicks in my brain I will wonder why I had so many problems with it.

Final chapter almost done. Just need to go back and write the four preceding it. Don't ask, it isn't a pretty story.

Soooo, is anyone going to set an August 1 challenge?

Luck sll. Though I didn't post originally, I DID finish the damned book and DID even send out a few queries and am, well, constipated now in the brain.

I'm up for an August 1 deadline.

Y'all can DO it. A few more hours... 'that which you manifest is before you'. Peace, Linda

Jeesh, I swear, I can't see this font is so small. My prior post should say LUCK ALL. And I have my bifocals on... peace, Linda

I'm still in! Although I always thought the July 1 deadline meant end of day. Was grinding out crap all weekend and finally made the breakthrough I needed today. SO, by EOD tomorrow I shall have draft one finished, weighing in at a respectable 188 pages.

Thanks for the deadline. Seriously, it helped.

I'm good. Today, I start revising again with a new deadline of July 31.

Can you pull yourself away to visit my release party today? So far it's two guys and Bernita, who thinks it would be unfair to answer my Canada trivia questions because she'll certainly get them all right.

Synopsis is done and I finished enough on the query to at least have something to take to Surrey.

Not finished with final chapter, but I'm working on it. I may wind up with two chapters, since it has a rather involved battle.

Sandra, went to your site and that book looks fascinating. I wish you much success with it. Also, when I get rich and famous, I want to buy a painting from you.

So much talent.

I didn't make it. Unexpected company and a very busy weekend prevented me from putting in the time I needed. But I've solved a number of major plot problems and am so excited again, so it's all good.

I finished! I finished! 16 poems in all.... (dancing around, celebrating)
How about you?
