has anyone read A PALE VIEW OF HILLS by Kazuo Ishiguro?

I'm desperate to talk about it with someone who's read it but can't find anyone... If you have, I opened a discussion on The Book Book here (there's also a review here) and I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Moonie, I'm headed to the library, but, just checked - it's not on the shelf at my branch. I can't request it cause I'm at my request limit (3!) right now.

"Remains" is one of my top faves, but "The Unconsoled" looks dense - I own it, read the first few pages but was not compelled to dive in. I wonder if any other Ishiguro fans have tackled that doorstop?

Shoot. I was just at the bookstore at lunchtime...missed your post. I did just recently purchase Ishiguro's Never Let Me Go (finally!)...I borrowed it from the library this past summer but didn't have time to finish it before its due date.

I'll put Pale View on my Amazon list.

Unfortunately, it will be a while before I get to PVOH...I'm currently trying to finish 3 books at once, and I'm not good at that: Cold Mountain, Secret Adventures of Charlotte Bronte (an ARC I won {snoopy dance}), and Lost in a Good Book. I should learn not to do this to myself.

Ever go on goodreads.com? You can start book discussions on there, as well as logging all the books you've read, writing reviews on them (if you wish), and seeing what others are reading.
